Renda municipality is located in Kurzeme, in the north-east of Kuld\u012bga municipality. It is the second largest municipality in terms of area after Kuld\u012bga. Most of its territory is covered by forests, and it is rich in marshes, rivers and lakes. On its northern edge, Renda borders the south-eastern shore of Lake Usma, and the Abava River with its beautiful valley runs through the entire parish. The significant natural and cultural heritage of Renda attracts nature lovers and many tourists, providing favourable conditions for the development of tourism in the municipality. The Abava Valley Nature Park, which is also a Natura 2000 site of European importance, a nature reserve and a specially protected cultural and historical area, is of particular value.
